Support Pro-Voter Policy!
HB463 would establish an online election information portal for NH, a commonsense step towards making our elections more efficient for Granite Staters.

Why HB 463 is a good idea:
An online election information portal that connects with the existing system used by election officials to allow voters to complete a new voter application, request an absentee ballot, and update their address and other voter information can help to increase accessibility of NH elections.
In other states’ online systems, when a voter registers via the online election portal, their information goes directly to the Supervisors of the Checklist for their town – maintaining local oversight and checks on voter registration.
If voters are able to update their information easily and safely when they move or register for the first time, more folks are likely to get registered before election day. This means shorter lines and less confusion at the polls.
42 states and Washington, DC, have online voter registration systems. It's time for New Hampshire to embrace modern technology and offer Granite Staters a simpler, more efficient way to register.
If built correctly, an online portal can provide a simple, efficient way for voters to help keep our voter rolls clean, helping local election officials with their duties and cutting down lines and mistakes on election day.
Expanding the avenues for voter registration before an election decreases the number of individuals needing to register on election day, potentially minimizing the reliance on affidavits during the voting process.
Just as we handle bills, car registrations, and banking online, it’s high time to make this commonsense solution a reality for voter registration too.
