Take Action: Stop Anti-Voter Policies!
Every Granite Stater should be able to Live Free and Vote. But, once again, Republican lawmakers are trying to put up barriers between you and the ballot box.
What’s happening?
A package of anti-voter bills—HB418, HB217, HB686, and HB608—is moving through the legislature, this time targeting absentee voting (which is already basically impossible). These measures aim to make it harder to vote by mail, imposing unnecessary restrictions that could silence the voices of:
Voters with disabilities
Working parents juggling a job and responsibilities at home
People in rural communities with limited access to polling places
How could this affect you?
Restricted access to absentee voting
Tighter rules around ballot eligibility and submission
More confusion in registering and voting
Absentee voting is available to those who are unable to vote in person for a variety of legitimate reasons. These bills will cause confusion and create barriers to Granite Staters’ ability to vote absentee, disenfranchising you, working parents, caregivers and elderly.
Why it matters:
When politicians try to make it harder for some to vote, they are trying to control who has a say in our future. We cannot stand by and let this happen. Everyone deserves equal access to the polls—whether in person or absentee.
Bottom line: we should be expanding access to voting, not restricting it.
