2024 Legislative Session
Our 2024 legislative priorities and how you can take action.
Each year, 603 Forward reviews the 1,000+ bills introduced in the New Hampshire General Court to identify those bills relative to our priorities (housing, healthy democracy) to become the focus of our advocacy efforts, working towards building a New Hampshire where our generation can thrive.
Our Legislative Priorities
A Healthy Democracy Above All Else
In the past few years, we’ve seen unprecedented attacks on voting rights nationally and in New Hampshire, fueled by far-right extreme ‘Big Lie’ conspiracy theories. In addition to fighting back against anti-voter legislation, this legislative session we will support the following proactive, pro-voter policies:
HB 1557- relative to requiring the secretary of state to enter into a membership agreement with the Electronic Registration Information Center. Learn more >>
HB 463 - relative to the establishment of an election information portal. Learn more >>
HB 447 - relative to the purchase of election equipment.
More Affordable Housing
The housing crisis is one of the most pressing issues facing our generation + a top priority for NH to recruit + retain more young people. 603 Forward will advocate for the following pro-housing policies:
HB 1291 - relative to accessory dwelling unit uses allowed by right. Learn more >>
HB 1400 - relative to the required maximum number of residential parking spaces. Learn more >>
HB 1053 - relative to permissible residential units in a commercial zone.
SB 538 - introduces significant changes to state zoning regulations, aiming to address various aspects of community development.
Pledge to Testify
One of the most powerful ways we can impact legislation we care about is speaking directly to lawmakers. Pledge to testify for pro-voter or pro-housing legislation and we’ll keep you update and help when the time comes!
